Seamaster Cuddy Cabin Fishing BoatYou might have gone fishing on a friend’s fishing boat in the past and enjoyed it so much you wanted to get your own boat someday. But until now you haven’t taken that big step because you don’t know what boat to get. In the next review I’ll try to give you some information on a small fishing boat built for fishing both at sea or on freshwater locations.

The 1993 Renden Seamaster 2288 is a 23 foot long Cuddy Cabin type boat that holds place for 2 people to sleep.

I found a Seamaster 2288 for sale on eBay. This particular boat comes complete with a trailer, an Eagle plotter/fish finder and lots of other nifty gadgets. The 230 hp GM 305 V-8 engine only has had 54 hours of active duty so still is as good as new. The top speed of this excellent boat is about 38-40 MPH.

Some Specifications For This Boat:

Type: Cuddy Cabin
Length: 23.0 feet
Beam: 8.2 feet
Hull Material: Fiberglass
Trailer: Included
Engine Type: Single Inboard/Outboard
Engine Make/Model: Chevrolet/305

heddon punkinseed lures glow wormIf you are a collector or admirerer of antique fishing lures the punkinseed will be no stranger to you. One of the many lures of this type is the Glow Worm. Unlike it’s brothers and sister’s this lure is transparent and has a green shade which probably reminded the designer of a glow worm, hence the name.

A couple of days ago I wrote a review of the Solid Black Heddon Punkinseed lure. Just like the Solid Black lure the Glow Worm is from the line that was reissued by Heddon in 2005. The company introduced 50 new color themes and only made 600 lures per color. You can easily tell the difference between the old lures and the new ones because the new ones have “Heddon 9630 Punkinseed” printed on their belly.

What was special about these collector items is that they were priced very reasonable at $49.95. Needless to say they were all gone in no time. So the the Heddon company released a new batch which can now be found on eBay.

Lure details:

Brand: Heddon
Type: Freshwater
Color: Glow Worm
Extra’s: Cardboard Box & Original Paperwork

heddon punkinseed lureBecause of the success of the lures released between 1950 and 1978 and because it was very difficult to obtain a punkinseed at a reasonable price these days Heddon decided to release a new line of these amazing bass catchers.

This Heddon punkinseed lure is one of the many available lures in the popular 9630 spook lure collection. This particular lure is completely in solid black with a touch of gold. All black Heddon lures started to show up in the 1940’s and were special ordered on other lures through the 1970’s.

By marking each bait with “Heddon 9630 Punkinseed” the Heddon firm makes sure the collector’s investment is protected.

The lures these days are all carefully shipped with a high quality two piece cardboard box and original paperwork.
The box has incredible packaging design similiar to those of the 1950’s with paperwork.

Product details:

  • Brand: Heddon
  • Type: Freshwater
  • Color: Solid Black
  • Extra’s: Cardboard Box & Original Paperwork
